7 years of Love  

I’m not good with speech, I always do a mess with the words and the sentences. 

I’m writing this text because I feel the need to share a little fragment of my thought. I know nobody will read this, but it doesn’t matter. This post is dedicated to 13 men called Super Junior, a boy band group who is part of my life for so long that I don’t really know how it was the world before them. 

Maybe this talk will sound over exaggerated and a lot of people won’t understand, it’s alright peasants. You are not in this story, you couldn’t understand completely but I know you could a little. Because I bet in some points of your life you have feel so passionate about something that you can barely breathe. Here I am! That’s me and my passionate love for these korean men, kings of Hallyu wave and global super icon. 

7 years ago they have debuted as Super Junior ‘05. They were a project group, destinated to change every year, but after 7 years they are famous all over the world as one of the most crowned and popular k-pop group ever. They have worked so hard during this long time: tears, many efforts, sacrifice, accidents, troubles, hatred, pain, determination. They have passed trought all these and they still after all. They are still the same boys, a group of friends who are linked as brothers, as a family. And after 7 years ELF are still with them, belong to them, by their side and they call ELF “the last member of Super Junior.” 

I quote the first lines of the song Sapphire Blue [소원이 있나요 - Soweoni Issnayo] “This a real love story, from now till on and I don’t be shy. I tell you how I feel.” and I want to share to you this truth: Elf and Super Junior relationship it’s not a music group-fandom relationship, it’s a special kind of real love story. Super Junior are for me the a kind of first love story. I never fall in love for a music group before SuJu and when it happened I didn’t know what it would happen from that moment until now.

During these 7 years I’ve watched them grow up and I grow up with them. They have a special piece of my heart and I’ll always remember them as the love of my young age. They have give me happiness and funny entertaiment during my teen years. They give me music and it will always be the soundtrack of my youth. They give me strenght and hope when I’ve need to hear encouragement. They are my idols, not because they are hendsome or cool, but because they are hard worked and the example how if you belive in you, you can do everything. After 7 years I want only to bow and say “Thank you, I love you.” 

Why do I love them? There is really a completely explanation for love? Can you explain why do you love your sister? Or your lover? Or your mom? Love doesn’t have a reason, you feel it. That’s enough. 

Thank you to Park Jung Soo, Leeteuk, the ultimate leader. Because without you Super Junior are like a family without a father. You take care of everyone, even of ELF. You are the best hyung, the only one who could do the work of leader. I could wait you for 100 years, don’t worry. Elf never leave you, because you never leave your dongsaengs and I’m so grateful to you. I love you.

Thank you to the special creature named Kim Heechul, as you said before you’re only a human being and all you know it’s the difference between good and bad. That’s the reason I thank you, because you have chosen to do the right thing for Hangeng when he need. You are a honest heart, never change for nobody. I love you. 

Thank you to Kim Young Woon, Kangin, because you have helped Teuk as hyung of this monkeys and because you’re always full of energy. I love you. 

Thank you to Hangeng, because you have passed trought many difficulties and hard time but never give up. I’m sorry for what SM and stupid laws did to you, I’m sorry you have cried for longing of home. I know the decision to leave Super Junior was difficult, I know you have suffered as much as Heechul. Congratulations for your fame and career. I still hope one day you’ll be back. I love you. 

Thank you to Donghae, Eunhyuk, Shingond and Sungmin. I know it’s kind rude to thank you all together but I swear I love you so much that’s hard to find words for you. You’re brilliant, funny, special. You’re the best, the number one. Even you Kibum, lost child. This family will always wait your return, so come back. I love you. 

Thank you to Ryeowook and Yesung, yours voices melt my heart every time I listen them. You are so talented, so fantastic! There’s time when only your voice could give me light and hope. During these 7 years I’ve learned to love your unique way to be. You’re the most amazing voice Korea and world will ever have. Thank you for choice to stay in Super Junior instead of a solo career. I always support you, no matter what. I love you.

And last but not least in my heart: THANK YOU CHO KYUHYUN. It’s not a surprise, you’re my bias. The only one I ever have in 7 years as k-pop fans. Before you I didn’t have a favourite one in Super Junior, then I met you and everything changed. I’ll never grateful enough to God for leave you alive. I always think I’ll be a different woman if you died that night, six years ago. A world without your voice It woul be a missed world. It’s not exactly your 7 years from your debut, but it doesn’t matter. You are part of this, you are meant to be part of Super Junior. Like faith or destiny. Take care of yourself. I LOVE YOU. 

Ok, stop. I’ve finished this nosense. Super Junior, last man standing, I adore you. Others 700 years of our love! ELF will support you until the end of time.
